Consyst is proud to invite you to its weekly seminars. These free and interactive presentations will interest business executive managers as well as IT service managers, systems architects, application developers and other IT specialists, as they address issues that are increasingly arising in businesses: systems development, integration and maintenance.
The seminars are intended to help the participants better identify the different problems related to the current information systems in organizations, specify the challenges and stakes, examine market trends and explore new approaches to solve those issues. In particular, the seminars examine the new trends in information systems technology and architecture, as well as the ARAD (Architected Rapid Application Development) approach, the new business rules model for the development of applications, promoted by Gartner.
The seminars, offered in English or in French, are held in Consyst's offices, in Montreal. MDA/ARAD: a sensible new approach to application development
Model Driven Architecture® (MDA® ),ARAD (Architected Rapid Application Development), RIA (Rich Internet Architecture), the new buzzwords. But are they? What are MDA, ARAD and RIA, and why have they become such an important business stake? The first part of the seminar will present the concepts behind the MDA/ARAD and RIA, and the philosophies favoured by some suppliers, as well as the advantages and inconvenients of such approaches. This two-hour presentation will help you understand the importance of using frameworks in your development environment, and show you the different types of frameworks; we will also demonstrate their utility with an example of a framework adapted for thin client applications.
