REP++security manager allows you to manage the rights and available functions outside the applications. This way, the same application is dynamically modified and adapted according to each user's rights and to the features he or she has access to, without any intervention from the programming team. With REP++security manager, no need to multiply the number of applications and to adapt them to suit the requirements of every user and their individual rights. REP++security manager will help you:

REP++security manager is a complementary service that lets you easily unify the various security systems (DBMS, operating systems, applications, etc.) and dynamycally profile your applications based on the rights and language of users. REP++security manager seamlessly integrates with REP++studio through our different frameworks.

REP++security manager integrates to the security systems of various operating systesm (LDAP and more). It manages users, groups of users, applications and groups of applications, as well as rules that will control more easily and more precisely the use of applications and various functions. All information related to the management of user rights is stored in the repository, the inventory system of REP++studio. In addition, several reports help you manage security and user profiles, and additional reports can also be added in a simple way.

Comprehensive Control and Security

REP++security manager allows you to import user-related information, define roles and applications and associate them. For example, create a "manager" profile that gives to all those with that profile access to all programs. Then create a "clerk" profile that allows others to use a subset of applications. You can also assign a specific context to each of these profiles. Thus, the "manager" profile could provide access to all applications at all times, while the "clerk" profile could provide access to these applications only between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Another example, a "director" profile that allows its members working for the "head office" to view and modify the salaries of all employees that are below that of their salary. In the event of a conflict, i.e. an equal salary, a conflict-solving system takes over.

REP++security manager lets you to take into account the following parameters:

Backup/Restore Options

The definitions of security entries and program groups are saved with the system to which they belong. You can save other definitions (Organization, Users, Users groups, Assignations) with the Backup/Restore program. You can set up the definitions in the development environment, back them up and then restore them in the production environment.
